We are 7 Cal students and alumni looking for either one or two more people to share in our beautiful Berkeley home! We would prefer applicants who are rather quiet, do not drink heavily and do not party late. Please no smokers or drug users!
The House
- A beautiful, spacious and recently remodeled house with bamboo wood floors.
- Wide, open backyard. Perfect for barbequing! Morning glories line our wooden fences and it's like our own private secret garden.
- Spacious, clean, and furnished common area with plenty of light and windows. Great for movie-watching, hanging out, board game playing and video game playing!
- Modern kitchen with granite countertops, new cabinets, dishwasher, garbage disposal, wine rack, new four-burner gas stove, large refrigerator with water filter and ice machine. We seriously think this is the best kitchen ever for cooking and everything!
- Dining room with cozy nook. We have an elegant glass table that's great for fancy dinners, homework, or just chilling!
- Spacious garage with nook for communal exercise equipment!
- Laundry Room with utility sink and storage!
- The walls are well-insulated!!
The Neighborhood
- Located just right off University and two blocks West of Shattuck, our home has the advantages of convenience and privacy.
- We are two blocks from Downtown Berkeley Bart.
- There is a bus stop right around the corner.
- We are very close to Ohlone Park --> Frisbee playing and basketball courts.
- Every Saturday, there is the local farmer's market, literally a couple steps away!
- Great food nearby: The Rainbow Cafe(sandwiches, coffee, and pastries right next door); Sushi Cal across the street; Nation's right around the corner; Middle Eastern Cuisine; Indian Cuisine; Chinese food; Thai food; Hawaiian; Gelato; American Cuisine; Italian Cuisine; Pizza; Ice Cream; and much much more!!!
- It is very close to local movie theaters, stores, and the Berkeley Public Library.
- The Berkeley Police are right next door and it's a very, very safe neigborhood!
- Our neighbors are friendly and our neighborhood is just plain gorgeous!

- We consist of three Cal grad students(Mechanical Engineering, Comparative Biochemistry, and Economics), two Cal students (Film), and two Cal alumni(English and International Political Economy).
- We enjoying watching movies, cooking, singing, hanging out -- we're a pretty laid back group.
- We are very clean and like to keep our place comfortable and tidy.
- We have one house cat. She is clean, adorable, and very sweet!
Your Room
- The room is very large and spacious. Measuring the room alone, it is 18'9" by 15.5'. Definitely a roomy single or a comfortable double!
- Plenty of room for a bed or bunk bed and two desks. There is a dresser and a twin bed available for use but can be removed upon renter's preference.
- All the windows are new and have white mini-blinds.
- Private bathroom with eco-friendly toilet and glass-paned shower. Medicine cabinet and mirror.
- Two beautiful French Doors with lock.
- Private backdoor entrance to the backyard. Great view of the backyard!
Money Matters
- Utilities are about $20-40 per month per person (gas, water, electric, garbage, and internet/cable)
