My youngest son is leaving for college and I have a spare room for rent.
It's large, gets plenty of sunlight, has a private bathroom and balcony (smokers may feel free to smoke out on the balcony), and comes furnished with a twin-size bed, dresser and nightstand; in addition, to a mini-fridge, cable TV and wireless internet if your computer is wireless-capable.
The building is located near the Yankee Stadium, just a 10-minute walk from the 4, D and B trains, and just a block away from the Bx13 bus, which gets you easily to the 4/D/B trains or the 1 train. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful; I have lived here for 25 years and have raised two children here.
Rent is $800 monthly, or $200 weekly, if paying weekly is better for you; deposit is $400, but this amount is negotiable, as well as the rent amount. It is also your choice to keep the furniture currently provided in the room, or to bring your own if you would like.
