Additional Note:
Large 1br in group house in Mt. Pleasant
Young (upper 20's) professional 5 person household is looking for a new roommate. The household is clean, quiet and responsible. Roommates are usually are pretty busy, but also enjoy taking the time to know each other.
The bedroom is (very) large and includes private screened in porch off the room, good for living or storing, and a decent-sized closet.
Utilities (water, gas, electric, phone and high-speed internet) are about $50/month (~$100 in the winter). Security deposit is one month's rent.
Roommates:
One of the guys works at the Peace Corps and the other has started his own NGO. The hope is to maintain gender balance in the house 3 women/2 men or 2 women/3 men – but the top priority is to find people who will be happy at the house.
House includes:
2 bathrooms
Large, 2 room, common area
Dishwasher
Hard wood floors
Off street parking (but you will probably prefer the plentiful on-street, non-zoned parking)
3 tier back yard (landscaped and comfortable to hang out in)
10 minute walk to Columbia Heights metro, 15 minutes to Cleveland Park metro
There is no A/C, but you are welcome to purchase my A/C unit for $100 – if you want to
Beautiful residential setting, directly across from Rock Creek Park and running/bike trails to downtown – mostly young family-owned homes on the safe, quiet tree-lined street. The house is located across the street from Rock Creek, and a couple blocks from the Zoo. A 10 minute walk to Adam's Morgan and ½ hour walk to DuPont Circle – I walk to work in DuPont and enjoy the park for the first 1/3, the shops and restaurants in Adam's Morgan for the 2/3 and DuPont for the 3/3 – Its awesome
